The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) is thrilled to host the 2025 Tour de Cure®: Arizona at Goodyear Ballpark on Saturday, February 15, fighting for all living with diabetes. Diabetes has become one of the fastest growing chronic diseases in the world.  Nationwide over 38 million people have diabetes, and every 26 seconds, someone in the United States is diagnosed with diabetes. In Arizona, 731,900 adults have diagnosed diabetes. Additionally, an estimated 46,000 adults are diagnosed each year.

Tour de Cure is an opportunity for individuals, corporations, and organizations to come together in the fight to end diabetes. Joining the Tour de Cure: Arizona helps the ADA increase awareness, provide vital programs, fund lifesaving research and work toward a cure.

“Nearly one in two Americans has diabetes or prediabetes, so it’s likely that someone you know or love is impacted,” said Aaron Dunn, the ADA’s executive director, Desert Southwest area. “Tour de Cure is an incredible celebration of the ADA’s mission and a chance to connect with the community while raising critical funds to help fight diabetes.”

After the ride, participants can join the ADA for a celebration featuring live music, a farmers market, kids zone and more.

Americans with diabetes have medical expenses approximately 2.6 times higher than those without. People living with diabetes also face the possibility of serious health complications. Events such as Tour de Cure are crucial for raising awareness and providing resources to support those living with the disease.

“We, along with generous sponsors and participants, are thrilled to come together for the Tour De Cure: Arizona,” said Chris Henrichsen of presenting sponsor Discount Tire. “This is a wonderful demonstration of our shared commitment to ending diabetes. Every mile ridden and every dollar raised brings us closer to a world free from the burdens of this disease, as well as providing support for over 38 million Americans living with diabetes.”

“Honeywell is proud to support the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure in Arizona,” said Jim Currier, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies CEO. “Diabetes touches countless lives, and we’re humbled to play a small part in helping the ADA work to fight this disease and find a cure.” Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is a Platinum Sponsor of the Tour de Cure: Arizona.

This year’s sponsors include Discount Tire, Honeywell Aerospace, Sonora Quest Laboratories and Desert Diamond Casino West Valley, Goodyear Tire, PENTA Cares, Banner Plans & Network, Ballard Spahr and the Cincinnati Reds.
